Science

March 2 -4 The Science Fair is only three weeks away. Students need to share their research papers with me and make corrections where necessary. Everyone should be working on their projects at home whenever possible.

Feb. 1 - 3 Both the 7th and 8th grade students will continue to work on their science fair research. Individual students are working on different projects, therefore, the expectations are different for each student. Some students may do work at home while others will do the work at school.

Feb. 4,- 5 The 8the grade will begin a short Earth Science Unit with a brief pre assessment. The Science standard we will address is found on the right.

7th grade will continue to focus on the science fair project through this time. Jan. 25 - 29 both the 7th and 8th grades are working on Science Fair research papers. We are using a leaf paragraph format (see the link at left) to guide us. The expectation is that students will write a one page report. Students should work on it at home to free -up time to begin their science fair projects in class.

Also this week, the 8th grade will be working in Math Labs. My group will be working on Pythagorean Theorem. This will include Math homework for those not completing the work in class.

For the week of 1/19 to 1/22 the 7th and 8th grades will both be working on Science reports for their science fair projects which. The Science Fair will be held on March 16.
